Louisville, KY Trader Joe’s Workers File for Union Election
Workers at Trader Joe’s #628 in Louisville, KY have petitioned the National Labor Relations Board for a union election. They will be represented by Trader Joe’s United, the new and independent labor organization first organized by workers in Western Massachusetts.
After presenting their managers with a petition to unionize, Crew Members at the Louisville Trader Joe’s have submitted well over the required 30% of cards necessary to mandate an election.
“Trader Joe’s has been a second home to all of us,” said crew member and organizer Connor Hovey. “We want to make our workplace equitable and accepting for everyone, and unionizing felt like the next logical step for all of us. We are so excited to join the national labor movement wave!”
